Jean Shanahan Earns DTM

District 53 and Toastmasters International is proud to announce that, Jean F. Shanahan, DTM has joined the elite group of Distinguished Toastmasters. Jean recently completed all requirements for her Advanced Leader (ALS) award and filed for her ALS and DTM recognitions in July 2006. In the year 2005-06 Jean was recognized as a Triple Crown winner with 3 educational awards, ATMS on 8/1/05, ATMG on 11/1/05, and CTM on 4/14/06.
      Jean Shanahan is the Immediate Past Area A5 Governor and Area A5 earned "Distinguished Area" recognition in 2005-2006. Jean is a charter member, mentor and sponsor of The Bureaucrats Toastmasters, Club #790849, which meets at the New York State Department of Transportation in Poughkeepsie, NY.

    David Gavin Earns DTM

District 53 is proud to announce that David J. Gavin, DTM has joined the elite group of Distinguished Toastmasters. David recently completed all requirements for his Advanced Leader (ALS) award and received his DTM recognition on June 30, 2007.

David Gavin served the District as Area A5 Governor ('06-'07). He is an active member of Arlington Rotary Toast Club #5614, an open community Club that meets in Area A5 at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

 Dave Wheeler Earns DTM

District 53 is proud to announce that Dave Wheeler, DTM has joined the elite group of Distinguished Toastmasters. Dave recently completed all requirements for his Advanced Leader (ALS), Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) award and received his DTM recognition on November 2, 2007.

Dave Wheeler, DTM has served the District as Area A4 Governor ('05-'06) and is currently serving as Division A Governor. He is an active member of
