Toastmasters is a learn-by-doing organization in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. A typical Toastmasters club has 20 to 40 members who meet regularly to practice public speaking and leadership techniques using the Toastmasters educational materials. Average meetings lasts 1-2 hours.
District 53 is comprised of clubs throughout Connecticut, eastern New York and western Massachusetts.
